Textbook for introducing programming and technical computing concepts to undergraduates

A very well-thought out, logically ordered introduction to MATLAB. Even intermediate users may find this book useful as a reference, or to complement MathWorks documentation. Very readable text formatting and page layout.
One shortcoming is that it is very thin on plots and visualization methods - only very basic plots are covered. Would have given it 4.5 stars because of this, but rounded up.
