Hi,
I really do not understand what have you done here, and what for:
ENL=(ybar/ystad)^2;
sx2=((ENL*(ystad)^2)-(ybar)^2)/(ENL+1);

Is it some trick to separate NaNs or take advantage of floating-point accuracy error? If not, the filter would result in simple local averaging.

I realized that your program generates masks for horizontal and vertical directions. I need the generealised Sobel Filter for diagonal directions. Do you know how should I change your code?

i have a picture of a horse with human, but i only need to extract an image of a horse, thus, i decided to try doing region of interest method. can u please show me the coding to do image segmentation using ROI? thank you so much for your help. =)
