Hi Users, In this below statement xls_read() says it is a 25x2 double (associated with a xls sheet) But when I copy it to the Temp_1 var, it says 1x25 double..
Temp_1(z) = Xls_read(z,1); I dont understand why the dimension is crossed. Could anybody answer this please?
regards, Joseph

You only asked it to copy the first column of ‘Xls_read’ to ‘Temp_1’. It’s just doing what you told it to do.

If z was [1:size( Xls_read, 1)] it will copy the entire first column. Otherwise it will take only those rows specified by z in column 1. Either way, the result is a column vector, not a row vector so the dimensions are not "crossed".
