Read in the image, process it, then report results. What else do you want to know?

I want to segment a CT image and after that extract some feature from this but I cant understand how can use this image with 55 slice...should I use this 55 slice as a one image or each slice as a one image?? it is not clear for me..

It depends on what you want to segment as to whether it can be done a slice at a time or whether you need a more 3D-ish method. Why don't you check Vision Bibliography and see how people segment the same organ you're interested in?
